Most of the Mongolian in the Alxa Zuoqi belongs to the Aimak of the Khoshoits Mongolian, which has its unique national costume. Men dress in Mongolian gown of lower hem opening at either side, with waist belt and waistcoat; in winter they wear cap or felt, while in summer wear hat.
And girls of the Khoshoits dress in Mongolian gown with no openings, while married women wear opening weskit. Women are particular about their headdress: with two big coral on the forehead, a hair crest embeds 9 mounds, and two cyan hair nets. The correct net-wearing method is: wearing hair into the net, down along temples, slipping into weskit under the oxter, while at the bottom of the weskit exposing the net edges. People of the Khoshoits all wear black or brown boots, with boots front belt. |
