According to the Alxa Desert National Geopark Master Plan, the Base of the Popularization of Geological Science for Adolescent was built up in Tengger desert subpark to make youths fully learn and love Alxa, cherish natural environment and life, establish the thought of respecting nature and maintaining ecological balance. The base is composed of indoor science whose main part is the Tengger desert subpark showroom and field trip. The base was operate officially on June 20th,2008.

The base will tightly center on the main goal of implementing scientific development concept and building a harmonious society to tighten up itself. We should fully utilize the base of the popularization of Geological Sciences and give complete play to it to enhance the spirit, popularize the knowledge, disseminate ideas of Geological Sciences, strengthen awareness of the importance of environmental protection ,and set up ecological civilization outlook among the youths. We should exploit and use the geological resources effictively, train talents for the ecological enviromnent construction of the whole league and the development of the Geological Sciences, and care the healthy growth of the juvenile practically.
